Hull City are aiming to reach the second round of the EFL Cup for the first time since 2020 when they host Doncaster Rovers this August.

The Tigers host their League Two neighbours – separated by 46 miles – for the first time since December 2020 in the Northern section of the draw, but have lost all three previous meetings in the competition with Rovers after ties in 1976, 2012 and 2017.
