Michael Carrick’s Boro finished fourth in the Championship table on 75 points to earn a first play-off berth since 2017/18, having missed out last season.

Boro now host a Coventry City side that ended the regular campaign with a 1-1 draw at Riverside Stadium to finish in fifth spot, as they bid to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2001.

The Sky Blues have not won on Teesside since 1993 and this first-ever play-off meeting between the sides is sure to prove a must-have keepsake to complete any serious collection.
