Aston Villa face Everton in an all-Premier League EFL Cup tie in late September for the tenth time in the competition’s history.

The Claret & Blues, five times winners, will be aiming for a sixth successive victory against the Toffees when they visit Villa Park for the second time this season.

Sean Dyche’s Merseysiders haven’t won in the West Midlands since March 2016, but will be keen to progress to the latter stages of the tournament as they did in 2019/20 and 2020/21.
