Record competition winners Rangers face Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the semi-final of the Viaplay Cup in January 2023.

The Ibrox side have lifted the prestigious silverware on 27 occasions but have not been successful in the tournament since 2010/11, and haven’t reached the Final in three years.

It’s a trend the Gers will be looking to end this time around but face six-time winners Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Sunday 15th January. The Dons have lost their previous two finals, in 2017 and 2019, but were victorious over Inverness back in 2014.
