Scotland v Curacao
Competition: International Friendly
Fixture Date: 30/05/26
Scotland’s final Hampden warm-up ahead of the World Cup this summer is a first-ever clash against fellow finalists Curacao.
Steve Clarke’s side last played at the national stadium in March in a first-ever meeting with Japan and are sure of a rousing reception from the Tartan Army once again at the end of May in another maiden-meeting before departing for the Americas.
Scotland have never faced the Caribbean island, who are 82nd in the latest FIFA world rankings, but wanted to test themselves against a CONCACAF federation nation before meeting Haiti in the tournament this summer.
The Dutch islanders, managed by former Rangers and Netherlands boss Dick Advocaat, won their qualifying group to become the smallest-ever nation by population and area to reach the showpiece event.
The 2017 Caribbean Cup winners, who are World Cup debutants, have some familiar faces in the side including former Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna as captain, Sheffield United’s Tahith Chong and Sontje Hansen of Middlesbrough.
The Tartan Army never miss an opportunity to back their boys at the national stadium and will be out in force once again as the hosts look to build momentum ahead of the summer.
