Record competition winners against giantkillers, manager versus midfielder or Premiership title chasers against second-tier underdogs… whatever subplot you take the Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Dunfermline Athletic has all the ingredients of a classic.

The Pars reached a first final in 19 years after penalty shoot-out success in the Kincardine Bridge derby over rivals Falkirk in the semi-finals. It was a third Premiership scalp for the Championship play-off chasers, having previously eliminated Aberdeen and Hibernian, as ex-Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon booked a rendezvous with former boss Martin O’Neill at the national stadium on Saturday 23rd May.

Although the two-time winners have not lifted Scottish Cup silverware since 1968, Lennon has plenty of experience. He won the trophy four times as a player and achieved the same again during his time in charge at Celtic Park, and will relish upsetting the odds against his former managerial mentor and employers.

Celtic return to Hampden for a fourth straight season and will be targeting a record-extending 43rd win of the prestigious domestic cup, after being denied the feat by Aberdeen last year.

O’Neill’s green and whites saw off St Mirren in an eight-goal epic in their last-four encounter in April, which required extra-time, to set up a repeat of the 2007 showpiece finale against Athletic. The Glaswegian behemoths will be overwhelming favourites in a 62nd Final appearance as they look to defend their Premiership crown and earn a domestic double.

May’s contest has all the ingredients to be another enthralling Hampden affair and the SFA’s official matchday publication provides supporters with the perfect keepsake from the day. This ‘must have’ piece of cherished memorabilia is a spine-bound A4-size 84-page commemorative edition and is available for £8, plus post and packaging to a UK address.

Overseas deliveries will incur an increased P&P charge, which will be calculated based on the delivery address provided.

This edition will be posted first class out on Friday 22nd May, if pre-ordered before 20th May, but is not expected to arrive for a pre-match delivery. It should arrive no more than five working days after despatch.
