Hampden will stage a blockbuster Scottish Cup semi-final showdown between record-competition winners Celtic and League Cup holders St Mirren.

The Buddies remain on course for a domestic cup double, having beaten Celtic back in December at the national stadium to lift the League Cup and get their hands on a first trophy in 12 years.

Craig McLeish’s side, currently tenth in the Scottish Premiership, eliminated Partick Thistle in the quarter-finals to reach a first Scottish Cup semi-final since 2021. The 1987 Cup winners will now have their sights firmly fixed on upsetting the odds once again by defying the Glasgow giants.

Martin O’Neill’s Hoops are aiming for a phenomenal 63rd appearance in the Scottish Cup Final. The 42-time winners fell at the last hurdle in 2024/25 to Aberdeen on penalties, but had better luck from the spot against arch rivals Rangers at Ibrox Stadium in the quarter-finals to keep on the well-trodden path to Hampden once again.

Celtic have lifted the prestigious silverware in six of the last nine campaigns and will be favourites to stay the course once again. However, they will be wary in a season of shocks not to take passage through to the final as a given.

This classic Scottish Cup semi-final tie is sure to be a compelling encounter, and supporters can pre-order this ‘must have’ piece of cherished memorabilia. 

The official match-day publication of the SFA is a spine-bound B5-size 68-page commemorative edition and is available for £6, plus post and packaging to a UK address.
