Hampden will host an intriguing Scottish Cup semi-final this April as Championship side Dunfermline Athletic face top-flight Falkirk.

Manager Neil Lennon had already masterminded The Pars beyond Hibernian in the Fourth Round, before a 3-0 success against Aberdeen saw the second-tier side reach this stage for the first time since 2009.

The two-time winners last reached the final of the competition in 2007 and know they will need to call upon their giant-killing skills once again to reach the showpiece finale.

It’s been an equally long wait for success in this prestigious competition for the Bairns… 69 years to be exact. Yet last season’s Championship winners are having a campaign to remember, being well placed in the Scottish Premiership and now beginning to dream of cup silverware. 

John McGlynn’s side, beaten finalists in 2015, overcame Dundee United 2-1 in the quarter-finals to secure passage to the national stadium but will not be underestimating their lower-league opponents.

This classic Scottish Cup semi-final tie is sure to be a compelling encounter, and supporters can pre-order this ‘must have’ piece of cherished memorabilia. 

The official match-day publication of the SFA is a spine-bound B5-size 68-page commemorative edition and is available for £6, plus post and packaging to a UK address.
