England Women face a crucial FIFA 2027 World Cup qualifying play-off tie against Greece in October.

Sarina Wiegman’s side must overcome a tricky second-leg contest at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium in order to stay on course to reach the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.

The 2023 World Cup finalists, who are also back-to-back European Championship winners, finished second in qualifying Group A3 behind Spain on goal difference to reach this two-legged seeded play-off.

Their opponents Greece, ranked 59th in the world, topped Group C4 ahead of Georgia and the Faroe Islands to reach this stage. 

If the Lionesses progress, they would then face another knockout against the winners of Slovakia and Ukraine.
