Either Falkirk or Inverness Caledonian Thistle will fly the flag for Scottish lower league football in a fairytail final against Old Firm opposition.

League One Falkirk became the first third-tier side since 2014 to reach the competition’s final-four when they came from behind to eliminate Ayr United, while second-tier Inverness produced a shock of their own by stunning top-flight Kilmarnock to get to Hampden on Saturday 29th April.

In a repeat of the 2014/15 Final, in which Inverness won 2-1 to lift the silverware for the first time in their history, both sides will be dreaming of reaching the competition’s climax once again in what will be a truly ‘David vs Goliath’ encounter.

This intriguing Scottish Cup semi-final clash is sure to be an enthralling affair as the Bairns eyeball a first success over their Highland opponents since December 2018.
