Will it be a first piece of silverware for Liverpool boss Arne Slot or can Newcastle United end a 56-year trophy drought as the two sides clash in a stellar Carabao Cup Final in March?

The Reds are returning to Wembley 12 months on from lifting the trophy for a record-extending tenth time after thrashing Tottenham 4-1 across two legs.

Backed by a vociferous Toon army the Mags will descend on London in their hoards in expectation that a first major trophy can be returned to Tyneside since an Inter-Cities Fair Cup success in 1969.

Eddie Howe’s black and whites were convincing 4-0 winners over Arsenal on aggregate and will pose a real threat to the competition’s defending champions, having learned from their defeat to Manchester United in 2023 and boast one of Europe’s most prolific frontmen in Alexander Isak in attack.

The stage is set for a compelling event under the Arch and supporters can reserve a commemorative memento of the occasion with a copy of the EFL’s official matchday programme.

The 116-page A4 size spine-bound publication is priced at £10, plus post and packaging to a UK address. Overseas deliveries, which can take at least four weeks to arrive at their destination, will incur an additional P+P charge, which will be calculated based on the delivery address provided.

Any pre-orders placed before Wednesday 12th March will be mailed first class on Friday 14th, scheduling allowing, and should land on doorsteps in environmentally-friendly paper wrap no more than three working days after despatch.
