Two heavyweights of English football collide in the FA Cup quarter-finals this March as Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s seven-time winners, who have been in the last three finals at Wembley, reached the last-eight of this season’s incarnation with a 3-1 win away at Newcastle United.

It saw the Blues at this stage for the eighth successive season, having also eliminated Exeter City and Salford City, to set up a gargantuan tie against the Reds in what is a 201st meeting in all competitions between the two Premier League behemoths.

Arne Slot’s side, who lifted the prestigious silverware for an eighth time in their history back in 2022, have seen off Barnsley, Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers on what they hope will be their path back to the national stadium.
