Preston North End vs Wigan Athletic (FA Cup)

Preston North End meet Lancashire rivals Wigan Athletic in January for a maiden meeting between the two sides in the FA Cup.

North End, who last faced their regional rivals in February 2023, will host the League One opponents in the Third Round after the Latics eliminated Barrow on penalties at the last stage.

Wigan have not won at Deepdale since 2004 and Preston will hope that home advantage against the 2013 winners of the competition can aid their passage through to the Fourth Round for only the third time in the last decade.
