Sheffield United face Mansfield Town in the FA Cup in January 2026 for a first meeting between the two sides in nearly 12 years.

The Blades were 2-1 victors on that previous encounter, in the League Cup in 2014, and also won by the same scoreline in 1988 when the sides last met in the FA Cup.

The South Yorkshire side, who were semi-finalists as recently as 2022/23, will be hoping home advantage at Bramall Lane is added incentive to see off the challenge from their League One opponents.

Nigel Clough’s Nottinghamshire outfit have failed to reach the Fourth Round stage of the competition since 2008 and have only ever won once on their trips to S2.
